Tiramisu is made with layers of very soft and creamy mascarpone cheese stacked together with layers of ladyfingers cake soaked in coffee.

Tiramisu is usually garnished with cocoa powder on top to give it a better taste and appearance.

Here's the recipe and how to make it:

First we prepare the ingredients to make the Tiramisu.

Here are the ingredients:

  • 6 yolks
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup Marsala or Brandy (optional)
  • 1 1/4 pounds mascarpone cheese
  • 1 3/4 cups cold heavy cream
  • 2 cups of espresso coffee
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 24 ladyfingers cake
  • Cocoa for sprinkling

Here's how to make Tiramisu:

First we beat the egg yolks and sugar in a large bowl until the mixture becomes fluffy and pale light yellow in color.

Then add Marsala or Brandy (if using) and beat until well combined.

After that, whip the heavy cream until fluffy and soft.

Now, slowly fold the heavy cream into the mascarpone cheese mixture.

And arrange half of the dipped ladyfingers in the bottom layer of a baking sheet or suitable serving dish.

Spread half of the mascarpone cheese mixture over the ladyfingers cake. After that

Arrange the ladyfingers cake that has been dipped earlier in the espresso coffee mixture and cocoa powder on top of the mascarpone cheese layer.

Spread the remaining mascarpone mixture over the second ladyfingers cake layer.
Sprinkle cocoa over the last layer of mascarpone mixture.

Once done all then stay in. Serve cold Tiramisu as dessert.
